Senior product leadership, scoped to the moment.

Five ways of working, from fully embedded interim leadership to a monthly coaching cadence. Engagements often start in one mode and shift to another as your team builds its own capability (Interim to Fractional to Advisor) with no handoff seams. AI strategy and AI-native product development run through every track.

01 · Embedded Leadership

Interim CPO

  • Typical duration3–4 months
  • Capacity~24–30 hrs/week
  • Often becomesFractional CPO

For companies that need a fully embedded product leader now: between permanent leaders, during fast scaling, or while stabilizing a product organization under pressure.

I join the executive team as your product leader, with real ownership of product strategy, roadmap, delivery, and the team itself. That means strengthening how Product works with Engineering, Design, Customer Experience, and Marketing; mentoring and coaching your internal people; and introducing AI-native product development and AI-enabled workflows where the organization is ready for them. You get unlimited scheduled meetings during business hours and unlimited async access: email, phone, text, Slack.

Typical goals for an interim window: stabilize the organization, define the people, process, and tools, make sure business priorities can actually execute, and prepare the ground for a permanent CPO hire. Many interim engagements transition into a Fractional CPO arrangement as the work matures.

02 · Ongoing Partnership

Fractional CPO

  • Minimum engagement6 months
  • Capacity~18–24 hrs/week
  • Cadence2–3 meetings/week + continuous async

For CEOs and leaders who need a senior product partner to address organizational challenges before they become critical, without committing to a full-time CPO.

I onboard as part of your internal leadership community and act as executive lead for defined phases of product maturity and operations: establishing lean, high-performing, empowered product practices, and building the operating model for AI-native product work where it fits. The cadence is two to three scheduled meetings a week, with continuous async access in between.

Typical goals: move the organization from hands-on execution to delegated leadership, codify best practices so they outlast the engagement, and develop your internal product leaders. Fractional engagements often follow an interim period, and frequently graduate to a lighter Strategic Advisor cadence.

03 · Lighter Cadence

Strategic Advisor

  • Minimum engagement3 months
  • Capacity~16–18 hrs/week
  • AccessEmail, text, and call

For CEOs and leadership teams who need sustained access to senior product expertise on a lighter-touch basis, often as a graduation from a fractional engagement, or when there’s an internal product leader who needs an experienced outside voice.

The work is advisory to you and your executive team on the current and future state of the product organization: guidance on roles, accountabilities, capacity planning, and scaling; cross-functional interaction models (especially Product↔Engineering); AI strategy input and oversight; and coaching support for your internal leaders as needed.

Common focuses include fiscal-year planning input, readiness for an eventual CPO hire, structure and process guidance, and adoption of an AI strategy and operating model.

04 · One-on-One

Product Coaching

  • Minimum engagement3 months
  • Standard length6 months, review at month 3
  • ForVPs & Heads of Product

For VPs and Heads of Product moving through the scale-up chasm: the shift from hands-on product management to high-leverage executive leadership. Most often at high-growth SaaS and technology companies.

The coaching philosophy is simple: pragmatism over theory (frameworks you can use in your next exec meeting, not abstractions), radical candor (the objective feedback internal stakeholders often can’t give), and a focus on alignment, because a VP’s success is measured by organizational clarity and cross-functional strength, not personal output.

05 · Foundations

Strategy & Operating Foundations

  • DurationScope-dependent
  • Pairs withAny of the four tracks above

For leadership teams that need to define or sharpen the foundational layer (purpose, vision, mission, values) and build the operating model and product delivery process underneath. The combination of strategy with cadence is where this work has the most impact.

The work includes working sessions to articulate purpose, vision, mission, and values; translating them into a goals and OKRs structure; strategy framing tailored to your specific challenges; an assessment of current product operations; definition of a product delivery process suited to your stage; implementation of operating cadences and ceremonies; and coaching the team into a disciplined product-delivery practice. Where relevant, AI-native methods are woven directly into the operating model.

Common starting points: a strategy that’s unclear or contested, a delivery process that can’t keep up with the strategy you already have, or AI being introduced into a product organization that doesn’t yet have an operating model to absorb it.
